This mix is brimming with joy — that’s what the website itself says, and it’s true. Twenty small organic tulips in a mix of colours, comprising varieties that all naturalise easily and come back year after year. For the bees, for nature, for yourself. And year after year, too. What more could you want from a bag of bulbs?
Why naturalising tulips are different
Botanical and naturalising tulips are hardier, longer-lived and more authentic than the large hybrid varieties. They are smaller in size, but when planted in a group — amongst the grass, in a border — they possess a spontaneity and charm that you rarely see in cultivated tulips. They open wide in the sun, close when it’s cloudy, and thus attract bees at exactly the right moments. Plant them in the autumn and let them get on with it.
Mix B or Mix A — what’s the difference?
Wild tulip Mix A and Mix B each contain twenty bulbs in a different combination of varieties and colours. Planting them together creates an even more varied display over several weeks. Plant both mixes intermixed for a border that flowers in succession for weeks and looks slightly different every day. Organically grown, certified NL-BIO-01.
