This bulb lasagne makes gardening easy and rewarding. You plant the bulbs in layers — deep, middle, top — and wait. Each layer has its own moment: the crocuses start early, followed by the daffodils, and as the icing on the cake, the Allium Purple Sensation appears in May or June with its large purple bulb. The choice of varieties has been carefully considered: the crocuses (mixed purple and white) attract early bees, the Thalia daffodil is fragrant and elegant, and the Allium Purple Sensation provides a striking, impressive finale. How do you plant a bulb lasagne?

The pack includes a simple step-by-step guide. The basic rule: the largest bulbs go deepest, the smallest on top. Start with the Allium at the bottom (around 15 cm), then the Thalia daffodil in the middle (around 10 cm), and the crocuses on top (around 5 cm). Use a pot at least 30 cm deep with good drainage. Place the pot outside in the cold after planting — the bulbs need this cold period to establish their roots. After that, nature will do the rest.

In a dry spot in the garden

Don’t have a large pot? Then this mix will also work in a dry, sunny spot in the garden. Plant the varieties at the correct depths and leave them to their own devices. In a suitable spot, both the crocuses and the daffodils will naturalise and return every year. The Allium Purple Sensation is hardy and can simply be left in the ground.
