Honeysuckle (Edible Honeyberries) - ORG
Reference: F1015
'Lonicera Kamtschatica Duet' is a blue honeyberry with a similar taste to a blueberry. This bush is very hardy with discrete yellow-green flowers. Honeyberries are self-pollinating, but will bear more fruit when planted together. They are pollinated by bumblebees.
The berries appear around august/september. The elongated berries are darkblue and a bit bigger than the average berry. As the name honeyberry implies, they are very sweet. They are full of vitamines B and C and can be eaten directly or used in a meal.
Birds love their taste to, so we advice to cover them with a net or foil. They grow to about 100 cm, so pruning is hardly needed. This bush loves a place in the sun or half shadow with permeating but little moist soil.
Organically grown. 1 plant per pot, 1 lt, with abundant organic soil life.
