Detail
The Artstone Oak pot has a warm, natural colour that looks right at home anywhere. On a wooden deck, amongst terracotta pots or in a green border; it blends in effortlessly. Fill it with this ‘bulb lasagne’ of organic flower bulbs and you only need to plant once to enjoy flowers for months on end. First the crocuses emerge, then the daffodils and finally the tulips. This way, the same pot keeps surprising you time and time again.
Flower bulbs need the cold
Many people think that frost is bad for flower bulbs. The opposite is true. Tulips, daffodils and crocuses actually need a cold winter to grow and flower properly in spring. That cold period ensures that the flower develops inside the bulb. That’s why you plant a ‘bulb lasagne’ between September and December and simply place the pot outside. Winter then does the bulk of the work. As soon as the temperature rises in spring, the first green shoots will emerge from the ground of their own accord.
A durable pot that will last for years
The Artstone Oak pot is made from recycled stone powder and synthetic material. This gives the pot the look of natural stone, but makes it much lighter to move around. It is frost-resistant, weather-resistant and features a raised base with a drainage hole. This ensures that the flower bulbs are never left in wet soil for too long. Are you using the pot indoors? Then you can simply seal the drainage hole with the rubber plug provided. A practical solution, without fuss.
Everything you need for a colourful spring
This complete set comprises an Artstone pot, 32 100% organically grown flower bulbs and clear planting instructions. The top layer of purple and white crocuses provides the first splash of colour and immediately offers nectar to wild bees and bumblebees. Next come the elegant Papillon Blanc daffodils, followed by the salmon-pink Tulipa Salmon Impression to round off the display. You don’t need to be a plant expert to enjoy this. Just add some potting compost, plant them, wait… and then, most importantly, enjoy.
