Allium Mount Everest flowers in May/June. The earlier the bulbs are planted in autumn, the earlier the flowers will bloom.
Alliums flower just after the “real” spring flowers and just before the first summer flowers, allowing you to create a garden that is always in bloom.

The flowers of Allium Mount Everest appear from May onwards and will enrich your garden or balcony for 2 to 6 weeks.

The rule of thumb is to dig a hole about 2-3 times the height of the bulb. For Allium Mount Everest, this means a depth of about 15 centimetres.
It is important to plant the bulbs at the correct depth so that they are sufficiently protected and will sprout at the right time.

The best time to plant Allium Mount Everest is in autumn. At that time, the soil is still warm, which is good for root development, but it is cooling down, which is ideal for the dormant period of the flower bulbs.

However, this cultivar was developed in the Netherlands.
Mount Everest is a hybrid between Allium Stipitatum, which originates from Central and South-West Asia, and Allium Hollandicum, which originates from Iran and Kyrgyzstan.

It is best to plant the Allium Mount Everest bulbs as soon as possible after receiving them. If necessary, you can leave them in their paper packaging and store them temporarily in a dry, cool place.
If you wish to move them, wait until the foliage has completely died back and carefully dig up the bulbs. Allow the bulbs to dry thoroughly and store them in a paper bag or wrap them in newspaper. Place them in a dark, cool and dry place, such as a cellar or shed. Check regularly for mould or rot and replant them in the garden in the autumn.
