Tulips on long stems have an irresistible charm. They stand tall, elegant and full of colour — and they look just as lovely indoors as they do outdoors. This pack has been put together for those who want both: a beautiful border and a full vase on the kitchen table.

Six varieties, one story

Red, salmon pink, orange and candy-pink — the colours in this pack complement each other without clashing. That’s no coincidence. The six varieties have been chosen for both their colour and stem height, so that they look lovely planted side by side and intermixed in the border. There are seven bulbs of each variety, each individually wrapped with a photo, so you know exactly what you’re planting.

From garden to vase

Darwin hybrid tulips, the group to which most tall tulips belong, are known for their hardiness and long vase life. They grow on sturdy stems measuring 50 to 70 cm, making them ideal for cutting. Cut them early in the morning when the buds are just beginning to show colour, place them in cold water and they’ll last for days. A small bunch of three mixed varieties makes a complete bouquet.

Planting

Plant the bulbs between October and December, at a depth of around 15 cm and 10–15 cm apart. They prefer a sunny spot and well-drained soil. They also grow well in pots — plant them close together for a full, lush effect. Organically grown and certified NL-BIO-01, grown without artificial fertilisers or chemicals.
